A group of four adults took the private tour of Chichen Itza through Absolute Adventure and had a great time. They promptly picked us up directly from our hotel and Chris was a fantastic tour guide the whole time. Very knowledgeable, and great conversation just getting to know the area. Absolutely follow their advice to leave EARLY. They’re not kidding when it goes from busy to packed later morning when dozens (if not hundreds) of tour buses arrive. Lunch was a very delicious, authentic Mayan food. The Cenotes were also really neat to see, and while they aren’t the best known ones, it means that it’s also much quieter and not super crowded. I really appreciated that throughout the whole tour it really went at our pace. If we wanted to stay somewhere longer/shorter we did. Chris was very accommodating and did a great job throughout. I would absolutely take another tour with Chris or Absolute Adventure again. And while it is more expensive than many of the other options, you get so much more out of it by having a private, personal guide the whole time.
Voir plusWe had the most amazing time with our tour guide Manuel and driver Rodrigo from the moment they picked us up at the hotel we knew it was going to be a good day. Arriving early at Akumal beach to snorkel with the turtles with no-one else anywhere near was one of the best experiences and not to mention the beauty and peacefulness of the cenote. If you are thinking about booking a trip with Absolute Adventure do it now you will not be disappointed!!!

Voir plusJuan was an amazing guide, knowledgeable, kind, and great with the kids. Well worth the time and money. If you have younger children I recommend the cenotes over the turtle swimming, our 6yro struggled a little bit. Ziplining and jumping at the Cenotes was the highlight of everyone's trip. Thank You Juan and Ervin.

Manuel our guide and Pasquale our driver showed us such a wonderful half-day visiting three cenotes. On the drive we discussed what we were looking for, and Manuel tailored the day for us perfectly, taking us to some of the most special places with a real consciousness and respect for the history and sacredness of the cenotes, which felt educational and also correct. Manuel was knowledgeable and flexible and attentive, and we felt the real benefit of doing this kind of tour through a small company, versus the big “eco-adventure” outfits that were camped out at our resort. We laughed, we experienced awe, we learned a LOT, and we ended the morning with a lunch, including a solid off-the-menu recommendation from Manuel which was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Hector is an amazing tour guide!! Very friendly and talkative. We had a blast and the private tour is definitely the way to go!
Voir plusWe had a very large group of 18 people and Claire and her team were able to get us all set for our day to Tulum, a cenote, and then Akumal. Emailing and scheduling was seamless. Our guides/drivers were on time. We had a bit of rain, but they (Chris and JJ) took care of our entire group from start to finish. Gave us options due to the rain, made sure we had time to do everything, let us order lunch on the way to the cenote so it would be ready for us upon our return. What tour groups go to this length to make sure their clients are happy??? 🙂 Excellent service. Cold drinks. Time to do everything. Thank you so much from the LARGE group of 18 from Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and Florida. Love you guys!

Most fun day in Mexico! Traveling with 18yo son and husband and we were looking for a sporty adventure offsite from resort and we were not disappointed. Manuel was an amazing guide. We chose the ATV/Zipline/Cenote jungle adventure and loved it all. The private tour was safe and allowed us to immerse ourselves with locals that all worked to make our day spectacular. Ended with an authentic MX cooked lunch and new friends.
Voir plusWe loved the whole experience! Snorkeling with the sea turtles was awesome and definitely a highlight. The cenote was absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad we did the tour. Our tour guide Dulce and driver Pascual were very professional and accomodating. With so many tour companies to choose from, it was important for us to find the right one. We chose Absolute Adventure based on their positive reviews and were not disappointed. The experience was exactly what we hoped it would be and we felt safe and secure. We would definitely use them again!

Voir plusThis was a fabulous company to work with. Manuel was our guide and Ervin was our driver. We loved getting to Tulum before all the crowds. The cenote was perfect for our group and the lunch was amazing. We loved snorkeling at Akumal. We were able to see five sea turtles. Manuel was great as a guide and we loved having Ervin stay with our belongings in the van. When we return to this area, we would definitely use them again. We loved being the only ones in our group. Definitely worth the money!

Voir plusFour of us (two couples) did two different private tours with Absolute Adventure. I will just go on record repeating what everyone else has stated. These guys are great. We did the Tulum/Coba tour and the Chichen-Itza + Cenote tours on a couple different days. Our guide for Tulum was Hector, and for Chichen-Itza we had Juan. Both guides took care of all the details, provided tons of great history and stories, plus were fun just to hang out with for the day. Ervin was behind the wheel on both trips and did a great job. Private tours of course are more expensive than group tours, but you will simply see so much more and get much more out of the experience. You'll see some big groups at these sites and be glad you went private. Plus, they did a great job always staying ahead of the crowds. Sure, it means an early morning pick-up but after you shake off the early morning wake-up call you'll be so happy you did it this way. I would not hesitate using Absolute Adventure on our next trip to PDC.
Voir plusWe were in Mexico for our niece’s destination wedding, and wanted to spend the day with them on a tour as their wedding present. Because it was for a special occasion we wanted to take a private tour to get the most out of the day. While researching tour groups ahead of time, I came across Absolute Adventures, and just from reading the reviews I knew that this was the group we wanted. Seeing all of the great tour options that they offer and the very reasonable rates sealed the deal, and I booked online a private tour of the ruins in Tulum and snorkeling with sea turtles for four people. Before our trip I had a few questions and needed to make adjustments, and with every interaction I received quick, friendly, and helpful email responses. On the day of our tour we were picked up right at the agreed upon time at our resort by our driver Pascual, and our guide Manuel. We felt very at ease with both of the friendly and happy guys right away. Manuel explained our itinerary for the day and we were off. We felt very safe with Pascual’s driving, and Manuel gave us lots of great facts about the area and history, while also cracking jokes with us, on our drive to Tulum. We arrived before the crowds and were quickly taken in to our friendly guide who took us through the ruins with Tulum. I’m sorry I can’t remember her name now, but she was also very friendly and knowledgable about the ruins and Mayan history. She happily answered all questions that we had and made sure that we got the most out of our experience. Manuel took several photos of the group for us throughout. After the ruins we were off to Akumal Bay to swim and snorkel with the sea turtles. Again Manuel handled everything very quickly and smoothly getting us checked in and outfitted for snorkeling. He joined us on our tour through the water with our snorkel guide and we saw so many different fish, coral, sea turtles, and other sea creatures. It was a beautiful experience. After snorkeling and getting cleaned up, and more photos taken for us by Manuel, we headed across the street to a local restaurant for the most delicious lunch of our whole trip. Afterwards, we stopped to take photos of really cool street art, and then were dropped back off at our resort. By the end of the day, we felt like Manuel and Pascual were our very good friends and we were sad to say goodbye. We would highly recommend spending a day or more with Absolute Adventures and will definitely book with them again if we are lucky enough to return. Included is a photo of us with Manuel at lunch.
Voir plusThis was the perfect solution for us! We wanted to see Tulum, but we didn't want more than a half-day tour, and we didn't want to be forced into shopping situations. We got an in-depth personal tour with our guide who went with us all the way around the ruins. We came away with a great understanding of the life and story of the ancient Mayans. Plus, we were home by late morning and had the rest of the day to do other things!

Voir plusOur guide, Juan was amazing. He possessed a wealth of information about the ancient Mayan people. We learned so much about how they lived and what they believed, especially in an important settlement like Tulum (which was a crucial trading port). The tour gives you several options for cenotes. We asked for an "open" cenote vs. a cavernous one since we had already been to three caverns. He gave us an option for one with a zip-line, but the one option we chose was so stunning and serene. I highly recommend the latter because you can zip-line anywhere, but cenotes are so special in the Yucatan Peninsula that you should see as many beautiful ones as you can!

Voir plusFirst of all having a private tour is a must if you want to be at Chichen-Itza without the crowds AND if you want to learn the most about the Toltec/Mayan structures and civilization. Our guide, Hector was incredibly knowledgeable and even shared some of his own personal theories. He seemed more excited than we were to share and leave us with not only an unforgettable experience but with a much greater sense and history of the Mayan people.

Voir plusMy sister and I chose the private tour to Tulum, cenote, lunch, and then a swim with turtles.
Voir plusManu and our driver were very accommodating and friendly. The actual snorkeling was amazing. We had incredible views and felt at ease. Our guide explained the Cenotes and what to expect while we were snorkeling. He also took many pictures of us and gave those to us to cherish. The lunch was phenomenal! We ate authentic Mayan food, beer, and had a tequila shot too! This private tour was exactly as expected, amazing!

Voir plusMy husband and I completely enjoyed our tour - we selected snorkeling in Puerto Moreles, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Our guide, Juan, was very pleasant - we enjoyed spending the day with him. We will definitely use Absolute Adventure Mexico for future tours when we visit Riveira Maya.
