Absolute Adventure Mexico
Loved the tour - guides were excellent. Not as fond of the amount of peddlers. Lunch was great and the trip to the cenote was amazing.

I did some research before deciding to book a private tour with Absolute Adventure, and this is the best decision we could have made! My boyfriend and I had our tour on October 22, 2019, and were picked up at our hotel in Cancun, at the recommended time of 6am. Ervin was our driver, and Hector was our tour guide. They were both so friendly and made the 2 hour drive to Tulum fly by quickly. The van was air conditioned and also had plenty of cold drinks to choose from. Hector is really knowledgeable about Mayan and Aztec culture, and educated us on the entire history on our drive over. He really made us feel as if we were close friends. When we got to Tulum, Hector took many amazing pictures of us, and knew exactly where we needed to stand to get the best shots. Hector was also very patient; we were not rushed at all and went at our own pace. After Tulum, we went snorkeling in the cenotes, followed by a lunch at a Mayan restaurant. I was not sure what to get, and ended up ordering a dish that Hector had recommended, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, this was the best excursion that we had ever gone on, and definitely recommend booking a private tour with Absolute Adventure. When we come back to Mexico, we will definitely be booking different tours with them!

I had previously visited Chichen Itza 14 years ago while on a cruise. While the site is remarkable, the crowds and heat were distracting. For this visit, I wanted a better experience for my brother and friend. This company was a pleasure to book with from beginning to end; when I added on a 3rd person, Chris discounted my rate. I was able to pay ahead with PayPal which was very convenient for budgeting. Then, on the day of the trip, my companions and I realized we would be happier heading back to the resort after the cenotes, skipping the gourmet lunch. Juan and Rodrigo happily accommodated us and Claire refunded my deposit!

What a great day. Did Ojos was absolutely gorgeous and insanely refreshing after the painful heat of the morning. Despite the insane temperature, the round of Tulum were incredible, of course, and Daniel was such a great, easy-going and helpful guide. He was very patient with our group (including my very whiny child) and even played with him so I could snorkel with the turtles. What a nice guy! This is a great trip, but keep on mind you're energy will be totally zapped. Do not make plans for dinner!! Just chill after. Thanks, Daniel!!

Our tour guide, HECTOR and driver RODRIGO, were so friendly, knowledgeable, funny, kind and super informative. The tour itself was a highlight of our trip, we started our at the ruins where we were driven after a pickup in a private van at our Air BNB. It was very educational, and Hector had a wealth of knowledge about the Maya and the history of Mexico. We then proceeded to choose a Cenote that we wanted to visit at Dos Ojos, and we chose Nicte Ha, it was GORGEOUS. Beautiful experience and the snorkel gear was provided. After the cenote Hector treated us to lunch at a local restaurant and it was arguably the best food we had on the trip! Delicious and homemade and the perfect fuel for a busy day. We then headed over to the protected Akumal Bay where we swam with Sea Turtles and and saw so many different types of coral and fish. We saw probably 4 sea turtles in the wild and it was AMAZING. I will never forget that moment! The excursion itself was worth every penny— the fees to the cenote and the bay and the ruins are all included in the price of the guide and excursion. Just remember to bring towels and bug spray! We would gladly have hector and rodrigo on every tour if we could! They are amazing. SERIOUSLY this company is amazing and great at communication and was a highlight of our trip! Book them!

increible día, Rodrigo de los pocosconductores con los que hemos estado seguras y tranquilas en nuesta estancia en Rivera Maya. Nuestro guia fué Hector que nos explico muchas cosas y a diferencia de otros guia tiene gran conocimiento y es super agradable . La comida muy buena. Vimos tortugas muy cerca a pesar de que nos decian en otros sitios que no feriamos, el cenote maravilloso y Tulum sin palabras. Al ser en privado esta muy bien y la excurción es de gran calidad. Repetiriamos sin duda un dia inolvidable.

With all the great reviews, I will admit I had high expectations. And they were exceeded. First off communication with Claire from the beginning was great. We booked late and had it scheduled for early AM pickup the morning after we arrived. So we didn't have our room number and wouldn't till late. No problem. Claire was very accommodating.

Great day out all round and good value for money with a great guide ( sorry forgot his name). We did get to see turtles at Akumal beach and swam by a couple taking some decent pictures we also had a one on one guide there and she knew where to go not sure we would have seen what we did without her ( thanks Jessica). Cenote was great it was off the beaten track and not busy which made even better and a good chance for pictures with out people in the way. We then stopped off for lunch at a local place down the road and sampled some home cooked Mexican food that was lovely. In all a good trip and would recommend this especially as your on a one to one basis and no crowds.

We had the most wonderful time on our private tour. We were able to pack everything into one excursion (Tulum, Coba, cenote and a Mayan lunch). Manuel and Hector were the best tour guides. They are very knowledgeable. Manuel climbed the pyramid and swam in the cenote with us. They took pictures along the way. Rodrigo and Omar were great drivers and stayed with our belongings in the van. I would definitely book with Absolute Adventure Mexico again.

So there were quite a lot of tour options including the option to book through our hotel. I am so glad I came across Absolute Adventure Mexico, it was a wonderful experience, a fantastic tour. First off we were initially scheduled to be picked up from our hotel at 7am to get off to an early start to Tulum, but asked last minute, the night before to be picked up at 7:30am instead. It wasn’t a problem. Our tour guide and driver promptly showed up at 7:30am and we were on our way. Our driver Pasquel was focused and reserved, but incredibly nice and our tour guide Manuel was also incredibly nice and very knowledgeable. We first visited Tulum and then went to Dos Ojos Cenote. After swimming in the incredibly beautiful waters of cenote Nicte-Ha we had a delicious lunch and headed back to our hotel. Can’t recommend this tour duo enough! They were great!

My wife and I booked the private Tulum ruins tour with a cenote swim and a swim with the sea turtles. We could not have been happier. Our guide Hector and our driver Rodrigo were awesome. Comfortable van all to ourselves and nice cold drinks of all types. They even offered a waterproof camera to use during our snorkeling. Hector was super knowledgable and so enthusiastic. He made the tour that much better. I can't recommend them enough. In fact, my wife is heading back next month with a friend and will be doing another tour. A+!

We were so glad we found this private tour and had a great day with our guide Juan. Pickup and drop off were seamless. Being able to be on a private tour meant we got to both sites before the huge crowds, and we went at our own pace. Juan was able to provide the perfect amount of time, and information at each place based on our needs. He was friendly and very knowledgable. The authentic lunch in the town by Coba was great food we would have never found on our own. An overall 5 star experience.

I was skeptical because they canceled on me, but it worked out and we had an incredible time. Our guide made sure that we had a wonderful and experienced guide for the ruins. We learned a lot and enjoyed the ruins more than expected. Once we left, we spent time at the Cenote Dos Ojos and it was breathe taking. The water was crystal clear and ice cold! However it was a very HOT day and the cold water was refreshing. We had an amazing lunch in the jungle and I am sure that it was the first time that I has real Mexican food. Very special place. After lunch we had a nice bumpy ride to the ocean where we swam with turtles and rays. It was a magical day. 🙂

We had the best time. I didn't expect to have a private tour guide, so it was a pleasant surprise. Hector was wonderful, so knowledgeable and friendly. He made us feel comfortable and safe. Pascual was a wonderful driver, we felt very safe with him. Both of them seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Hector shared so much fun information with us. We had a private tour in Tulum, which was fabulous. We chose the outdoor cenote, and we were practically the only ones there. Hector never made us feel rushed, he let us enjoy each stop at our own pace. He took us to a great local spot for lunch. He introduced us to our snorkeling guide, which was just awesome. Overall, we had an amazing time. Hector also provided local food recommendations in Playa del Carmen. I highly recommend this during your stay in Playa. Thank you Hector and Pascual!

What can I say - Juan was amazing! I felt like I was hanging out with a friend the entire time. We had so much fun and he was so patient and knowledgeable. We went at our own pace - missed the crowds - definitely a one of a kind experience. Also the price is extremely fair. Congrats Absolute Adventure on your success! - I'm sure I will be seeing you again. Juan - what was the name of the book you recommended?
