Absolute Adventure Mexico
I recommend booking early morning, we were the only ones there and got the cenote all to ourselves! Amazing experience! Chris, our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Tulum and cenotes.
Voir plusJuan “JJ” was an excellent tour guide. Informative, organized, and kind. We went to three places. The ruins, sea turtle excursion, and cenote swim. The cenote was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. After we went for a delicious lunch. This tour is a must do and with JJ! My friend and I had a wonderful time!

Voir plusThis was a great experience. Our tour guides were awesome. The views and water were unbelievable. The lunch included will not disappoint soooooo delicious. I was happy our tour guide had lunch with us. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Voir plusWe booked the private tour to Chichen Itzá and two cenotes. Juan was our tour guide and he was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We got taken to a restaurant after visiting all three places and the food was delicious! Definitely recommend, it was so worth it!
Voir plusOur party of 12 had an amazing experience. Chris and Daniele were our guides and were accommodating to both the young and old (our group was from ages 69 to 8). After Chichen Itza, we were taken to a great lunch in Valladolid right in front of the town square and next to the beautiful colonial church. I highly recommend Absolute Adventure and will be using them again the next time we are in the Riviera Maya.
Voir plusOur private tour with JJ and Daniel was a blast. We had 18 people who wanted a "speed" tour of the ruins and then 2 cenote stops. We had a blast with them throughout the day and at all stops. Both JJ and Daniel were knowledgeable, fun and great tour guides. Booking the tour was easy and Claire was quick to make suggestions and respond to emails. We highly recommend Absolute Adventure.
Voir plusMy partner and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Juan (JJ) was an excellent tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had excellent conversation. He made sure we were able to get some wonderful photo opportunities. Carlos was a great driver!
Voir plusFor being swiss, we like be everthing trustworthy and pro organized - it is our culture. Adventure tours I give you a 10. It was a GREAT experience with Daniele and Gregorio. Pick up on time, professional bus with all equipment for schnokel, having a neopren dress and all needed equipment prepared. We rent an aquacam which was totaly worth it to have some below water pictures and video.
Voir plusWe loved our tour! We visited Tulum ruins, Nicte Ha cenote, and snorkeled with a sea turtles. Dulce was our guide-she was very kind and helpful. She was knowledgeable about the area and easy to talk to or ask questions. A great value for a private tour! Will go again when we are back!

Voir plusWe loved our private tour! Dulce was knowledgeable about the ruins at Tulum and very friendly and helpful. Our tour consisted of visits to the Tulum ruins, Nicte Ha cenote, lunch, and then snorkeling with sea turtles. We enjoyed it all and felt the price was extremely reasonable for a private tour that last almost 8 hours. Would love to go again and go on more tours!
Voir plusThe tour was amazing. Very informative and catered to our every need. He gave us the history of the ruins and our choice in Cenote.
Voir plusWe took this tour in August and it was spectacular! Our tour guide Dulce was very friendly and informative and helped make our day truly spectacular. I am booking this tour again when I come back with my family for Thanksgiving!
Voir plusWithout a doubt, Our Absolute Adventures tour was the highlight of our Tulum stay in Mexico. We booked a private tour for two to the Tulum ruins, the blue lagoon, and a cenote. My husband was mostly looking forward to the ruins and I was looking forward to the blue lagoon. Upon pick-up, our guide Juan (JJ) informed us that due to the hurricane, the blue lagoon would appear murky and we would not get the experience as advertised. He said that we could still go, or, that we could go to an additional cenote. I was disappointed but thankful for his honesty. We decided to do the additional cenote. The tour was advertised that we would show up before the crowds, and boy, was that correct! We showed up and followed JJ to the front, bypassing the small crowd that was waiting. Absolute Adventure even provided umbrellas for us (which we needed at the ruins), and that was something that few other tour groups provided. The tour was amazing. Even though I knew much about the Mayans before the trip, I learned a lot about the architecture, building material, and the day-to-day lives of the Mayans. JJ also provided information about the landscape, flora, and fauna that I think few tour guides discussed with the larger groups. The first cenote was amazing and I thought that nothing could top it. The photo on the Absolute website shows an open cenote, but we went to an underwater cave with pristine water (which was way cooler than advertised). Absolute provided wetsuits, lifejackets, and snorkel equipment. They even came prepared with additional sizes (I can get away with a small in the US, but I was more of a large for a french wetsuit). We then went to cenotes called "Dos Ojos" (two eyes). The first cenote was busy and kind of touristy, but having a guide allowed us to swim places that most people do not get to wander. The final cenote, the other eye, was a lot less busy, and we were told that most people do not know about it since it's not as visible. Because we had JJ with us, we got to navigate in a guide-only area of stalactites, and we came out in the most beautiful bat cave I've ever seen. The cave was all to ourselves, and I was the most magical experience. I don't want to oversell it, but being in that cave felt like I was experiencing a National Geographic moment. There were no photos taken... just wonderful memories. After the cenotes, we went to a restaurant next door and ate authentic Mexican food, drank beer, and took our tequila shots. I'd also like to mention that the transportation was safe (the drive obeyed the speed limit), the van was cool, and the cooler was well stocked with water, sodas, and beer. Communication-wise, Claire was friendly and stayed in touch with me via text in both the US and Mexico leading up to the tour. I'm personally recommending this group to my family and friends who wish to vacation in the area, and I'd also like to recommend to anyone who follows Yelp. The price for Absolute was a bit more than other larger groups, but the personal touches and intimate group made the experience so much better than what I observed with other groups, and the tour was more than worth it.
Voir plusAbsolutely fantastic company, drivers, and guides! My husband and I went on two tours with Absolute Adventures Mexico - One to Tulum and Coba with Claire and another to Chichen Itza and Cenotes with Dulce. Both tours had to be changed slightly - At one point Coba was closed so we were offered a Tulum only tour. The night before the tour, Coba reopened and Claire got ahold of us to see if we wanted to go ahead and add Coba back on as well as how we would like the itinerary for the day to go. I was glad that we had a private tour company if, for no other reason, I don't believe any of the larger bus tours would have reached back out to us when Coba re-opened. Because Claire did we were able to enjoy Coba when it was virtually empty. Our second tour, Chichen Itza, had to be pushed back because of a hurricane. Claire updated us whenever she got information and made sure the day was re-scheduled. We definitely wanted private touring for our travel and will probably stick with it whenever possible in the future on account of our experiences with these two tours. We got to Chichen Itza right as it was opening. There were far less people and we were able to enjoy the sites and get pictures with just us and the ruins. When we left at 11 the parking lots were full and the large group tour busses were JUST arriving. Between the late, busier arrival and the less attentive nature of large touring, I feel that a private tour is definitely the way to go and I would 100% recommend Absolute Adventures. The transportation was clean and they had snacks and drinks for us for between stops. Both Claire and Dulce were amazing guides with loads of information and answered all questions we had. The local restaurants we stopped at were delicious and both Claire and Dulce gave us suggestions on the best items to try. The drivers were also professional and polite and stayed with the vehicle when we were in sites so that we could leave anything we didn't want to take with us safely in the van. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed both tours and were thrilled to find such a fantastic company for private touring. Great touring and a great value for the quality of the experience you get. We'll be booking with Absolute Adventure Mexico again when we're back in Riviera Maya.
Voir plusPerfect mix of all the sights if you are in the area for a short stay. Daniele and Pascual picked us up on time from the resort. The vehicle was clean and air conditioned. We also were provided with cold drinking water, soft drinks and beer (not a beer drinker, so can't comment on the taste and quality). We got to Tulum around 9 am and were done with our tour by the time many-many tourists group started to arrive. Daniele told us about Mayan history in a short but very informative way so it was not boring or overwhelming. After we went to cenote, had lunch in a traditional Mexican restaurant and snorkeled with turtles. That was totally unforgettable experience. This tour is perfect for families with young kids! I want with 6 years old and she was not thrilled about Tulum ruins and also struggled with snorkeling. Daniele was extremely patient and flexible to adjust the tour to meet our needs. He also did whatever it takes to make sure my daughter got the full experience from the trip and saw the turtles. She only lasted about half an our out of an hour time that was allocated to snorkeling with the turtles, so Daniele offered to stay and play in the sand with her while I continued exploring underwater beauty. He did an awesome job! After taking many group tours I should say this tour worth every dollar spent! Even thought it was 7.5 hours tour it went by very fast and was not tiring.
Voir plusMy husband and I had a fantastic experience on this tour! We went to the Tulum archaeological site and then to snorkel in a cenote. Our guide was Dulce and our driver was Pascual. They were both extremely professional and helpful and we felt completely safe with their COVID precautions.
Voir plusWhat a great day. Did Ojos was absolutely gorgeous and insanely refreshing after the painful heat of the morning. Despite the insane temperature, the round of Tulum were incredible, of course, and Daniel was such a great, easy-going and helpful guide. He was very patient with our group (including my very whiny child) and even played with him so I could snorkel with the turtles. What a nice guy! This is a great trip, but keep on mind you're energy will be totally zapped. Do not make plans for dinner!! Just chill after. Thanks, Daniel!!
Voir plusMy husband and I went on a private tour of three cenotes. Our guide Juan/ JJ was fantastic! We were the only two people at all three cenotes. Lunch was so good.We would recommend a private tour over a group tour for the best experience. Thank you for outstanding service and great food.Along with a history lessons and we even got to see the jaguar ruin. My husband wanted to go see the ruins

Voir plusLo más parecido a un tour europeo, puntuales, amables muy profesionales, nos sentimos muy bien tratados. Ccon las explicaciones de Juanjose y la conducción de Rodrigo creo q aprovechamos bien la elección de Absolute Adventure
Voir plusWe loved our cenote tour! Our tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back with Absolute Adventure next time I am back!
Voir plusGreat private tour! Daniele and Pascual picked us up right on time and got us to Tulum right as it opened. Daniele gave us great background information on the area and it's people's before going in and while we were at each part of the ruin. It was very informative and he took some great photos of us! The ruins were pretty cool, especially how they were perched on the cliffs! We then left and chose a cenote to visit. We chose a cave cenote and one that was more private, Taakibi-Hab. It was so cool and a great experience climbing down into the cenote and snorkeling around. Such a neat experience!
Voir plusWe did the three cenotes tour with Dulce (our guide) and our driver (whose name I forgot, I'm sorry!!). It was an out of this world experience and we can't recommend it enough. The three cenotes we chose were Casa Cenote, Jaguar, and Pet Semetary. We wanted to get different experiences from each cenote and felt like these would provide that. We got started with an early visit to Casa Cenote, and being there early is worth it! Other than one other swimmer, we were the only ones on the way out, and we got to see the famous crocodile up close! The fish here are large and you can see the different layer of salt and fresh water. It was beautiful, and relaxing (other than quietly swimming past the crocodile!)
Voir plusWe visited Tulum and swam with the turtles. Everything was great and Dulce was super knowledgeable and friendly. We will use them again on our next trip to Mexico!
Voir plusMy husband and I did the Tulum ruins, snorkeling, and cenote excursion during our honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen. We LOVED our excursion with Absolute Adventure Mexico! Our tour guide (Juan-Jose) and driver (Juan-Manuel) were AWESOME! Juan shared a lot of the history of the Mayan people as he took us through the ruins and kindly took pictures of us at the scenic views from the cliffs. The cenote was perfectly refreshing after the hike through the ruins. mendation! And not to mention how pretty it was. We then went to lunch which was super delicious, and headed to the beach for snorkeling afterwards. We went during the late summer and there was a lot of seaweed on some of the beaches so Juan recommended a different place to snorkel. We were able to snorkel with sea turtles and sting rays with no seaweed thanks to his recommendation. We had SO much fun getting to hang out with Juan-Jose all day and learn so much from him. He felt more like our friend than our tour guide! We would recommend booking an excursion with Absolute Adventures Mexico to any and everybody!!

Voir plusMy family and I had an amazing time on the swimming with turtles and cenote tour! Our guide Chris and our driver Juan Manuel were the best! They were both so nice and accommodating. Chris was very knowledgable and fun. My niece left her hat in the van and Juan Manual drove all the way back to our hotel to return it for us. They arranged for us to visit the cenote when it was less crowded, which was great. We visited Taak Bi Ha cenote and it was so stunning. We loved the fact that this was a private tour and we would totally recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico!
Voir plusStarted with great service from Claire online as she answered all of our questions. Dulce and Juan Manuel were our guide and driver and were the best! Our own private tour beat the crowds and had a magnificent experience. 100% recommend for any tour they provide.
Voir pluswe did the coba and snorkeling with turtles tour with dulce - it was excellent! she is very knowledgeable and friendly - a great guide - biking thru the jungle for the tour was GREAT- i would suggest for if not limited on time to do the coba tour one day and snorkeling first thing in the morning so as to have better visibility in the water - if don't have an extra day snorkeling in the afternoon is ok just somewhat poor visibility
Voir plusWe had the most amazing day in Tulum with JJ! First of all, we scheduled our tour super short notice (after trying to go through our resort which was more expensive and not private). I don't think they would normally be able to accommodate short notice, but the had a cancellation so it worked perfectly for us. JJ and Juan (driver) picked us up at the ferry upon our arrival in Playa Del Carmen (we stayed in Cozumel). JJ first took us to Starbucks which was perfect because we left our hotel before they were serving any food/coffee. We then visited the ruins in Tulum where JJ gave us the history and debunked some myths about these ancient cities. JJ was able to help us avoid the crowds and knew exactly where to go for a more private experience. After the ruins, we ventured off to Cenote Taak bi ha (the cave cenote) for some swimming and snorkeling. We had the choice between the cave or an outdoor cenote and chose the cave just to get out of the sun. It was INCREDIBLE. JJ offered to take pictures for us, which turned out awesome. He took us around and pointed out some notable sights, and also made us very aware of what not to touch. His knowledge on the local environment was super informative and helped me feel like a better tourist overall. Lastly was the local restaurant. The food was awesome and it was the perfect last stop for the trip. After we refueled, they took us back to the ferry terminal where we then headed back to our resort. This was 100% the highlight of our trip and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone heading to Tulum/Cozumel/Playa.
Voir plusThis tour was magnificent! Dulcet was a great guide and I so enjoyed the beautiful cenotes and delicious lunch. Dulcet was very knowledgeable about the cenotes and very attentive! The driver guy was wonderful too and took lots of photos for usüòÜ
