We had Juan (JJ) as our guide! We did the express tour of Tulum and it was absolutely beautiful. We went early in the morning and Juan had several facts and wise knowledge on the ruins and temples. We had a lot of fun and would definitely do it again!!

Joshua was an excellent tour guide! He was knowledgeable, personable, and the best EVER. Rodrigo was a great driver! Best experience ever!
Voir plusSuch a great experience! Our guides were knowledgeable, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of. They offered to take pictures when needed and made sure we had plenty of time to look around shop. They made the day super easy and I’d highly recommend!
Voir plusOur tour to Tulum ruins and a cenote was spectacular! Joshua and Arturo did an amazing job. They were extremely accommodating, kind, and helpful. Would 100% recommend using this company again for future tours.
Voir plusSuch wonderful and kind guides. Joshua was so knowledgeable and made it interesting to hear about the cenotes origins and history. Enrique was a great driver who kept the drive on the bumpy road as smooth as possible. Lunch was amazing and local and fresh. Highly recommend this company and even more Joshua and Enrique!
Voir plusGreat experience. Tour guides and driver were experts. My group did the Talum and tequila tasing. Tequila tasting is very well done and was very fun for a tequila hater like myself.
Voir plusGreat time! The guides were amazing and made the excursion suit our preferences. Very knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins
Voir plusArturo was so welcoming and a wonderful guide for our tour! We will definitely come back the next time we visit for another tour!!
Voir plusThe experience was fantastic! Juan was our guide and Rodrigo was our driver. They arrived at our airbnb right on time and drinks were provided in the van. We got lucky that day because it was raining a bit, so no one was in the cenote but us! Juan was so informative and nice. Wetsuits and life jackets were provided. Lunch afterwards was delicious. Would book again!
Voir plusAmazing tour, would book again We got a little lucky since it was raining in the morning, so there was no one in the cenote when we were there! Juan was our guide and Rodrigo was out driver. They were both amazing! Picked us up right on time, provided drinks in the van. The cenote was beautiful, wet suits and life jackets were provided. Recommend water shoes. Would book again!
Voir plusGreat Cenote Tour! We had a blast and our guide Alejandro was so nice and knowledgeable. We also shifted to do 3 cenotes and skip lunch and they easily accommodated!
Voir plusAlex was an incredible guide. From pick up to returning. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with the kids who were struggling with the humidity. The cenote was an amazing experience. Jumping and swimming into the cenote was thrilling and relaxing. The tour took us too an excellent restaurant after the cenote.
Voir plusWe loved our tour! Joshua and Rodrigo were amazing. It was very rainy other day of our tour and we were worried it would be a ruined day. They adjusted our tour so we were still be able to experience Tulum and a Cenote (we had originally booked swimming with turtles but the beach was closed). They provided drinks for our kids, umbrellas, and amazing information throughout the day. Joshua was amazing and took great family photos for us at key points of our tour. We loved our tour and would highly recommend it!
Voir plusExcellent experience! They gave great tips on ferries and timing. Juan was knowledgeable, attentive, patient, kind and funny. The perfect balance to a great guide! From the 18 yr old to the 82 yr old—everyone loved it. And Juan even negotiated us out of the human sacrifice! (I am joking!!)
Voir plusWorth every penny! Phenomenal private tour - worth every penny! We did a private tour of the Tulum and Coba archeological sites with Arturo. He was a superb guide, very knowledgeable and passionate about Maya civilizations. We loved learning about the different architectural structures and styles, while taking in the incredible views at Tulum. This was one of the highlights of our recent trip. If you enjoy beautiful views, archeological sites and a fantastic tour guide, book this tour! And shoutout to our driver for two days, Omar! He provided safe, efficient and punctual transportation for us.
Voir plusOur first tour with Absolute Adventure was Cichan Itza Ruins and Valladolid. The three of us were picked up at our hotel early in the morning and our guide, Juan, was already there when we came down from our room. On the way to Chichan Itza, we stopped for coffee and breakfast snacks for the ride. We were among the first people to enter Chichan Itza and Juan took us straight to the pyramid to get pictures before the crowds arrived. We then started the tour at a point to best learn the history of the site and the Mayan Culture. Juan was extremely knowledgeable about both and knew how to navigate Chichan Itza so that we were alone for several of the locations. Juan explained what the different parts of the sites were used for and about the symbols used in the architecture. He pointed out many features we would most likely have missed had we not had a guide. We also learned about the language, counting, beliefs and more. We were there in May, during a heatwave, so it was quite hot by the end of the tour. Juan notified our driver when we were on the way back to the van so it would be cooled down and cold water would be ready. From Chichan Itza, wo went to Vallodolid, where we had lunch at restaurant we never would have chosen on our own. We ordered a traditional Mayan pork dish, cochinita, and a local beer recommended by Juan. Both were delicious. We were then given time to explore the city with no time limit. Throughout the day, Juan answered all of our questions and filled us in on the Mayan Culture, as well as the current culture. My family and I highly recommend this tour. Next, we booked the Tulum-Cenote-Turtles tour with Absolute Adventure and Juan was our guide again. The pick up went as smoothly as the first tour. Like Chichan Itza, we were among the first inside Tulum and got some great photos. Since we had just learned much of the history of the Mayans on our last tour, we could be more leisurely touring Tulum and ask more questions. We got a lot of great photos with no one else in them. After Tulum, we went to Cenote Taak Bi Ha. When we got to the cenote, they had to turn on the lights because we were the first to arrive. It is one of the cave Cenotes so there were a lot of interesting formations. After about 20 minutes or so, a large group showed up, but by then we had plenty of photos. Juan knew the other tour guide, so he found out that the large group was planning go to the same restaurant that we planned to when they finished. He made sure we got there first and got our orders in before the large group arrived. Another great restaurant choice. Next stop was the turtles. The weather had been windy, so they just reopened in time to be able to go into the water. The water was kind of cloudy because of the weather, but there were still a couple of turtles. The van was ready and cooled down for us every time and there was always plenty of cold water. This was another great tour experience. When we got back to our hotel, we debated on a third tour. We had one last day that was possible to take a tour, but we couldn't decide if we just wanted to relax. Since we enjoyed the first two tours so much, we decided to book the Ek Balam and cenote tour. We were lucky and got Juan as our guide again and he timed it so that we were at Ek Balam when it opened. We got plenty of pictures without other tourists. As of May 2024, you can still climb the pyramid, so we have bragging rights for climbing a Mayan pyramid. Juan explained the differences between the 3 sites we had visited and gave us the background on Ek Balam. As we were leaving, we saw all of the other tourists just starting their visits with the temperature rising and we had visited during the coolest part of the day. After Ek Balam, we had the option of stopping for lunch. Since the last two lunches with Juan had been great, we decided it was a good idea. We relaxed during lunch which was another tasty choice. From there, we went to the Cenote XCanche. This was an open air cenote with a rope to swing from and a zip line. Again, when we arrived, we had it all to ourselves. Plenty of time for pictures before anyone else showed up. It never got crowded, so we could actually take pictures the entire time without getting any strangers in the shots. Then is was back in the van to the hotel. We were very glad that we opted to book this tour and highly recommend it, especially if you want to brag that you climbed a pyramid. We were obviously very happy with Absolute Adventure or we would not have taken so many tours with them. When booking our last tour, we debated between Ek Balam and Coba. They explained the differences between the two sites to help us decide. They were always friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Juan had everything timed perfectly, but nothing was rushed and it was always up to us if we wanted to stay longer at any of our stops. My family and I highly recommend taking a tour, or two or three, with Absolute Adventure.
Voir plusThis is THE tour Our group of 9 (2 families with adult children) had an amazing day with Juan (aka JJ) on a private tour that included the Mayan Ruins, Cenote Taak Bi Ha, lunch at Juanita?s and snorkeling with sea turtles. Juan is a warm, knowledgeable, funny and interesting person which makes him a great tour guide. There were plenty of cold drinks. Getting to the Ruins early was key (based on the CROWDS entering as we were leaving) as we had the place practically to ourselves. We trusted Juan to choose the cenote and no one was disappointed. Again, there was hardly anyone there & we had ample time to explore. Lunch was delicious and satisfying. To end the day, we saw at least 8 sea turtles. Also, the driver was great. I highly recommend this tour with Juan!
Voir plusSimply incredible. Words cannot express how truly wonderful this tour was. Arturo was such a nice person and a great guide! Starting early was absolutely the best decision. We saw many turtles on our snorkel, and beat the crowds, who were just arriving when we were leaving. It was a breathtaking experience. We went the relaxing cenote - the one with all the fauna - and it was so beautiful it felt otherworldly. Absolutely stunning. We did many tours in PDC, and have travelled all over the world, and this experience will forever standout for how gorgeous it was and for amazing Arturo was. If I could give this 100 stars I would.
Voir plusMy friends and I did the dos ojos cenote private tour for a bachelorette party and it was SO fun. Our guide Joseph was super friendly and taught us how to snorkel through the caves and use our light to see underwater. He was so knowledgeable and taught us all about the history of cenotes and guided us to the bat cave where we got to see fruit bats! I highly recommend taking a snorkel tour with Joseph!
Voir plusJoshua was an incredible guide. He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about the Mayans and the history of Chichenitza. Highly recommend!
Voir plusJust the best day! Please don?t hesitate to book a private tour with the Absolute Adventures team - I can thoroughly recommend them from the amazing time we had on our trip to Chichen Itza with Alex as our guide and Enrique our driver - they were fantastic and took so much care of us, nothing too much trouble. The knowledge and passion Alex had for Mayan culture and heritage was superb and the two hour journey passed so quickly as he told us so much fascinating history to give us context for our experience. He always encouraged us ask questions, a great sign 🙂 All the logistics were seamlessly handled and we could just relax into the day. Getting an early start meant we were at Chichen Itza before the crowds and the queues. It?s very very hot in central Yucatan and you need to be prepared for that - again, having a private tour really is a great investment if you can do it - you get to say when you?ve had enough and need to head for the shade. One of the best experiences was our swim in the cenote Samula which was cool, refreshing and quite magical. Lunch in Valladolid was delicious, in such a nice restaurant. All in all a brilliant day. Thank you so much guys, we take away so many special memories!
Voir plusOutstanding passion and service provided by Alex and Enrique. We had the most amazing time in Chichen itza and swimming in the cenote, followed by one of the best meals we had in Mexico. HIGHLY recommend.
Voir plusWe took three tours and JJ and Alex were wonderful guides! Scheduling was easy as well.
Voir plusI wish I could give it six stars! On the drive to Chichen-Itza, it was early and we were all groggy, but Alex did a fabulous job of explaining all the Mayan language and history while Enrique focused on the drive and keeping us and our belongings safe. We stopped a couple of times for coffee and pastry, then a toilet break. Chichen-Itza was of course spectacular, and Alex?s deep knowledge made the personal tour so rewarding, as he used a light pointer to show us the detail in the carvings. We then went to a covered cenote in an underground cave which was an absolutely magical experience - drifting and floating with the cave swallows feeding in a shaft of sunlight from above. 100 percent safe (I swim like a rock, but we were all wearing life jackets, so it was utterly blissful). The trip to Valladolid for lunch was an unexpected highlight. Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and the cocktails were easily the best we?ve had in the Yucatan. Then a siesta drive back to PDC. 🙂 Such a wonderful day. I cannot recommend the private tour highly enough. Spend the money if you have it. You will come away with the kind of memories you?ll talk about for a long time. Muchos gracias, Alex and Enrique. __
Voir plusGreat time with JJ! My teens were entertained as was I, not easy to make everyone interested. We also did a snorkeling tour and a tour with Alex to Tulum. Everyone was wonderful.
Voir plusDo yourself a favor and book with Absolute Adventure Mexico! My family had two major adventure goals for our vacation - seeing the Tulum Mayan ruins and snorkeling. With this tour, we got to do both and so much more! Arturo was fantastic - knowledgeable, kind, and attentive! He picked us up early in the day for our private tour of the ruins, where he taught us about the history and culture of the Mayan people of Tulum. He helped us take photos and pointed out incredible details and sights. Then he took us to our choice of cenote. He taught us how to snorkel and led us through an underground wonderland of cool, clear water and incredible rock formations. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delightful authentic Mexican lunch and more conversation with Arturo. He was a delightful guide, never hurrying us, cheerfully assisting with photos, and engaging us in every phase of our adventure. If you're in the area and have the opportunity, book your tour with Absolute Adventure Mexico. I only wish there were more stars to give them.
Voir plusThis was a fantastic, private tour. Our tour guide “extraordinaire” Alex was amazing & truly knows the Mayan culture. Listening to him was a free education & I can really appreciate the history & the struggle. We also spoke for a long time over lunch because he made it so engaging. I will certainly look this group up when I return to my beloved Mexico. Thank you Alex, for climbing to the top of Ek Balam with my children when my knee gave out at the 52nd step. Niurka
Voir plusTop notch company! Very professional and friendly service! They tailored the experience to exactly what we wanted and it was nice that it was just us. They showed up on time with cold drinks. Joshua was amazing and thorough at explaining the history and helped us feel safe while traveling through the caves. A+++ highly recommend!
Voir plusMy family and I have been having a terrible time in Mexico! Today we went on an excursion and it was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Our driver was Enrique! Super nice, man of few words. Alex was our tour guide, and he redeemed Mexico for us! He is so smart! If you are interested in knowing the culture in Mexico, he?ll know it. You have to ask for them if you have a tour. I promise you, they?ll make sure you have a good experience. The ruins are great?with the guide. Otherwise, you don?t really know what you?re looking at. The cenote was beautiful and ?refreshing?. We saw lots of fish through clear, still water. The sea turtles were everywhere! I will say, if it?s really windy, the water is choppy and makes it a little more difficult to see the turtles at times, but there were plenty of opportunities to see the sea turtles up close! Great experience.
Voir plusWe had an amazing time on a private tour using Absolute Adventure! Alex was our guide through Chichen Itza, a cenote, and in Valladolid and Rodrigo was our driver. We all felt well taken care of and Alex taught us a lot about the Mayans while keeping things fun. Can't recommend more and when we're in the area again we'll definitely use them for a Tulum tour.
Voir plusJoseph was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide showing us the history and beauty of dos ojos in tulum! Highly recommend
Voir plusWe did the private tour of snorkeling with sea turtles in Akumal Bay, cenote Taak Bi Ha, and lunch with our guide Arturo. The transportation was clean, safe, and on time to pick us up from our hotel. Communication with the business was easy and efficient. Most of all Arturo was kind and knowledgeable about Tul?m the cenotes and safely guided us through all facets of the day. This day was a memory for the books. Voir plusArturo took us to Coba where we biked to the various ruins and temples followed up by a visit to a cenote and then a delicious authentic lunch. He was great and did a fantastic job. We have 4 kids 8 and under and it worked out great. Some rode, our oldest biked herself.
Voir plusArturo and his team were a great guide! We had a bachelorette group go with him, and he had a lot of knowledge of the cenotes and guided our group safely through the caves and through snorkeling, jumping into cenotes, swimming through bat caves… Highly recommend!

Voir plusAbsolute the best experience of our lives. We were celebrating our 13 year wedding anniversary in cancun and this excursion was everything. Arturo was the best guide hands down. Made us feel welcome and very comfortable. Always keeping us in the loop and was very informative. Even had a blast ziplining and swimming in the cenote with our guide. Props to Omar the driver for being so amazing. The company as a whole has been very communicative and helped us every step of the way. I highly recommend them for your next excursion! Thank you!
Voir plusWhat a great way to celebrate my 50th birthday with my 5 closest friends. Our guide, Arturo, was fantastic. A wealth of information and quite entertaining. We met early to beat the crowds and we were always one step ahead of the big groups. A nice leisurely tour of Tulum before heading to Coba where we rode bikes through the jungle, before swimming in a cenote. As one of my friends said, we did a triathlon. As a group of active women, this was just our speed. I appreciate that Arturo was willing change things when I told him I wanted to find a sign with the name Nicte. Suddenly there was the perfect cenote we had to visit and so he adjusted the planned cenotes on our tour so I could take a picture with Nicte. Turned out that Nicte-Ha was stunning and the perfect end of our tour. Gracias Arturo and Rodrigo for helping make my 50th birthday trip one to remember.
Voir plusJuan was a great guide ! Very personable, funny, and knowledgeable. He made the experience very memorable and I would gladly recommend this tour. The car was very clean and there was cold water / soda available. The Tulum Ruins were amazing and it was clear Juan had a passion for the history as he explained different things to us and answered our various questions. We struggled to make a decision on which Cenote to go to, but Juan made a great recommendation. If you book, you’ll have a great time.
