Informative ruins tour and unforgettable turtle swim We booked the private tour of the Tulum ruins with Absolute Adventure Mexico and had a very good experience. Our guide was friendly, well-informed, and shared just enough history to give good context without overwhelming us. The real highlight of the day was snorkeling at Akumal Bay. Seeing the sea turtles up close in their natural environment was a wonderful experience. The pace of the day felt relaxed and well-organized. I would definitely recommend this tour if you're looking for a more personal and well-run experience in the Tulum area.

Amazing Experience! Don't Miss This! This was the highlight of our trip to Cancun. We had an amazing day at Chichen Itza! Our tour guide, Arturo, was absolutely wonderful! He and our driver picked us up on time at our hotel, and we were quickly on our way. We stopped for a bathroom break and to stretch our legs once on the way there. They offered us something to drink. There was a cooler in the back of the van full of all kinds of soda and bottled water. The Mexican sodas were delicious! We got to Chichen Itza about 20 minutes before it opened, leaving us plenty of time to apply sunblock and grab more water bottles from the cooler, especially since our driver dropped us off right up front. Arturo handed us our tickets, so we didn't need to wait in any lines. We walked right in and were able to get amazing pictures without anyone else around. Arturo took great family photos of us! We didn't have to worry about not being able to hear because of a large crowd or moving at too slow or too fast a pace. We asked lots of questions and saw everything. We couldn't have asked for a better guide! We stopped whenever we wanted to look at something or go to the bathroom. Before leaving, I asked about going to see the Sacred Cenote. It isn't something that everyone goes to see, but Arturo gladly obliged. We walked over to that area as he continued to tell us more about the history, the Maya people, and the cenote. We left after about 3 - 3.5 hours at Chichen Itza and headed to Valladolid for a delicious lunch. Our son ordered steak tacos, while my husband and I each ordered a traditional Yucatecan dish called panuchos, which is similar to tostadas with beans cooked inside the corn tortillas. There were three to an order, so we ordered a variety with a different meat on each. It was all excellent, especially the appetizer of chips and jalape?o cream! OMG! After lunch, we walked around the town center a bit. It was beautiful! We visited a chocolate museum, did some tasting, and of course bought some chocolate! Then our driver was waiting for us right outside the museum to take us back to our hotel. We had such a wonderful day! I highly recommend this private tour to everyone! It's the only way I ever want to take another tour. If we are ever in the area again, I will definitely use this company again. I'd love to visit Tulum with them. I'd be so happy to have Auturo as our guide once more!

A highlight of our trip! This was a highlight of our trip! My husband, myself, and our 3 kids (ages 8, 6, and 4) were picked up promptly by Juan and Rodrigo and got to the ruins as soon as they opened - no crowds! They had booster seats we requested for the kids and a wide selection of drinks. They even happily made a pitstop for us to grab snacks for the kids. We were the only people at the Cenote and there was a great little place to jump off for the kids. Highly recommend! It felt like a super safe and fun experience!

Fantastic Snorkeling trip! Private snorkeling trip in Puerto Morelos with lunch in town. Experience was amazing. Private pickup from hotel was on-time and very personable. Met our guide Arturo and driver. Short trip to Puerto Morelos from our hotel where we met the captain and tour guide for snorkeling, Kevin. Everyone involved was very accommodating, took their time to make sure we understood the plan and the rules. Getting on the boat was simple from the dock, getting in the water was an easy slide over the side and we snorkeled for about an hour and a half. Arturo and Kevin put us on a lot of structure, we saw so many neat and colorful fish. Trigger fish, needle fish, rainbow parrot fish, a whole bunch of barracudas, conchs and they even got us on a couple of sea turtles feeding. Getting back on the boat was also easy, they have a built-in ladder that extends into the water far enough to just walk up. Overall, 10/10, would book again in a heartbeat. BEST TOUR EVER _ The most amazing tour!!!!! Our tour guide Alex and driver Ivan were the absolute best! We started the day driving to the tulum ruins talking about the history of Mexico. They make sure you get to the ruins early, we were the first ones to enter! After that it was a short drive to a cenote where our tour guide let us have some time to explore. He also got in the water with us and explained what we were seeing, which I really appreciated! Lunch was about a minute drive, food was good and the place was beautiful! It was also nice to sit a chat with Alex and get to know him more! After lunch it was about a 20 minute drive to go snorkeling with sea turtles. The guide was amazing and goes at your pace. We were also able to go snorkel the reef which was very cool. All around an amazing tour, very accommodating and so much knowledge!

Wonderful experience! My family and I visited Mexico this past month and had a wonderful day exploring ruins and swimming in cenotes. Juan was a wonderful guide and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him. We will absolutely be back next year for another tour and will ask for Juan!

Highlight of the vacation This was really the highlight of our Cancun vacation - Coba is awesome and Cristina is an excellent tour guide; the Cenote was super refreshing.

Chichen Itza + Valladolid private tour was amazing! We did the Chichen Itza tour with a stop in Valladolid. This was a fantastic experience. Josh (our tour guide) and Omar (our driver) made it a great experience. Josh was super knowledgeable and taught us so much about the cultural and historical aspects of the region. He also took pictures of us Beating the crowds made this so much more manageable. We were able to get photos with practically no one around. No fighting for spots. The experience included some drinks and snacks as well as a stop for breakfast and lunch in Valladolid. Definitely worth the extra for us to book private but I imagine this would still be awesome without spending the extra of you don't mind sharing a ride with others.

Fascinating experience at your own pace We had an incredible private excursion exploring the Tulum ruins and snorkeling in the Dos Ojos cenote. The experience was both educational and fascinating, made even better by our guide, Juan. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable, sharing so much insight into Mayan history and the natural wonders of the area in a way that was engaging and easy to follow. We also appreciated how smoothly everything went, thanks to Juan and our driver, Kiki (I believe that?s what he was introduced as). They were perfectly coordinated - the van was always ready and waiting to pick us up when it was time to move on, which was a huge plus in the heat (definitely recommend starting the excursion as early in the morning as possible). Choosing the private tour over a shared group experience was absolutely worth it. We loved being able to move at our own pace, linger at spots that interested us, and never feel rushed. It made the whole day feel more relaxed and personalized. Highly recommend this excursion to anyone looking for a more intimate and enriching way to explore the Riviera Maya!

Great tour Outstanding experience with Alex and Rodrigo. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun and informative. He was instrumental in arranging accessibility for our daughter who uses a wheelchair as well!

Great time! Excellent excursion. Arturo was a great tour guide! Loved it! My only recommendation would be to put a mat outside the van so when you change your shoes and clothes you do not have to stand on sand.

2 private tours with Christina and Rodrigo...wonderful! We learned so much about the Mayan people and their history with our tours of both the Tulum Ruins and the city of Chichen Itza! Cristina was our guide and her passion, respect and knowledge of the environment, the history and the people of the Yucatan were inspirational. We loved learning about the network of cenotes and their geological and cultural significance as well. We had a lovely snorkeling tour of Taak Bi Ha with a delightful lunch after. Many thanks to Rodrigo, our driver, who made sure we were comfortable thru-out our travels. I would not hesitate to book with this tour company again!

Chichen Itza Ruins and Valladolid ! We did the Chichen Itza and Valladolid tour. Our tour guide was Cristina and our driver was Rodri and they were both very accommodating and kind! Had an assortment of drinks for us as soon as we got in the van (sodas, juice & water) and then later got us some chips as well. As we walked around Chichen Itza Cristina was so knowledgeable teaching us all about its history. Not only was it incredible to see but we were able to appreciate it so much more with all the information we were given. We ended the tour in a cute town called Valladolid which was the perfect way to end the tour! Will be doing another tour with them later this week!

Amazing Tour of Chichen Itza This was an amazing tour by a top notch tour company Absolute Adventures. Our driver Omar was very accomodating and our tour guide Josh made the tour made the tour come to life with his vast knowledge of the Mayan culture, knowledge of the architecture of the structures. If your going to go to Chitza Nitza its worth every penny to be able to ask questions and have a private tour guide. Highly recommend this tour company.

Fabulous family day! Our tour with our guide Alex and driver Ivan was perfect for our family of five (2 adults and 3 older teens/college age kids). Alex is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Mayan culture and history...and his informal style meant that even my college kid who just finished his exams was engaged and interested. Driver Ivan navigated the dirt roads back to the cenote and lunch with ease. And swimming/snorkelling with the turtles was amazing - like a window into a different world. One of our kids has a physical disability which was managed by our guides with grace and discretion. Overall, this experience exceeded my expectations, and I recommend Alex, Ivan and Absolute Adventure without reservation.

Great excursion. Alex and Rodrigo took us to Tulum and a cenote, Alex was a great guide with a lot of information about the ruins and the history of the Maya and Mexico. We didn?t have to worry about anything Alex got all the wrist bands ready where we didn?t have to do any planning just walked straight into our tour sites. Would recommend to anyone looking for an excursion.

Great tour of Tulum archaeological site Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She did a great job with the local history and other information not available on the signage. We had a bit of a mix up as to which hotel was the pickup point, but they squared it away quickly. She was also able to help identify the safe shops.

Tulum Express Tour Josh was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable and polite. The ride from Playa del Carmen was about 1 hour and very smooth. They were very prompt. We took the suggestion and left the resort at 7am, which was great. We got in and out before the majority of people showed up so it was almost empty when we walked through the park. The shops at the end are very touristy, you may find a few unique blankets and things. Josh ?warned? us in advance that they people will want to take a picture with you and they charge $10-15 USD. It was neat to walk through, but didn?t buy anything there. 10/10 would recommend using Absolute Adventures for a private tour!
