I can’t say enough good things about this excursion or Cristina! Every detail was planned thoughtfully. We left early for the drive to Tulum to avoid the crowds and it made pictures and walking through much more enjoyable. Cristina’s knowledge of Tulum was much appreciated. We had our choice of cenote and Cristina asked questions to help guide us to the best choice for us. The cenote was breathtaking! Lunch was delicious at Juanita’s. Every step was perfect! I’m so glad we were able to have this experience. I highly recommend Absolute Adventure and Cristina and Rodri as your guides!!

We booked a private tour to Chichén Itzá with Absolute Adventures and had an incredible experience. Our driver, Omar, was prompt, professional, and made the ride smooth and safe. Our guide, Christina, was amazing - she came with a wealth of knowledge, made the tour so engaging and informative, and even took some incredible photos for us that we’ll treasure forever. We were especially glad we booked through Absolute Adventures rather than hiring a guide on-site. Christina gave us a much more in-depth and personalized experience. The included lunch in Valladolid was also a highlight - delicious food in a charming town. Highly recommend Absolute Adventures for anyone looking for a high-quality, well-organized tour in the Yucatán!

If you want to get a taste of Mexican history on your trip, but don’t have as much time, this is the trip for you! We learned so much on our tour of the Tulum ruins! Alex is so knowledgeable and an amazing guide. He goes over the top in every way! He even makes sure you get every picture you want! The cenotes are an experience not to be missed. What an adventure! We were so thankful that Julio drove us safely everywhere and made sure everything was protected and taken care of. This team is the absolute best!

We had a wonderful private morning tour to Chichen Itza and Cenote Oxman with our driver, Omar, and tour guide, Christina! We were able to nap on the long ride to Chichen Itza and offered snacks and cold drinks along the way. Restroom stops were also offered as well. Christina was a wonderful tour guide through Chichen Itza and we were able to stay as long as we wanted. The Cenote was beautiful and especially refreshing after spending the morning in the hot sun. We ate at a lovely restaurant for lunch and were offered to tour Valladolid but we opted to head back to the resort. Highly recommend this company and especially the private tour for a more relaxing and personalized experience!

We did an amazing tour of the Mayan ruins at Tulum, went a swim and zip lining at Jaguar cenote, and ended with a delicious local lunch. Cristina was a wonderful guide, very fun and informative, and our driver Ivan had the best tunes and took great care of us. Ask for them!

We had a great time on our private tour with Alex to the Tulum and Coba Ruins. Alex shared lots of information and you could tell he really enjoyed his job. We learned so much and had fun along the way. Thanks for a memorable experience. Highly, without a doubt recommend Absolute Adventure!

I had a blast on the tour. I loved to learn about some of the history of the Mayans. Our tour guide was humorous, so we had some good laughs all throughout our tour. The snorkeling was great for my 1st time snorkeling. Definitely my favorite part of the tour. We finished with lunch and a tequila tasting. Lunch was yummy and I found some tequilas that I like! 10/10

Tour guide was super knowledgable about all aspects of the tour, and took us through some impressive Mayan ruins and swam in a Cenote afterwards. Incredible experience and would recommend this 100%. Learned a lot about tequila too

Our family—three generations, ages 78, 47, 44, 12, and 9—had a wonderful experience on the Chichén Itzá + Cenote + Valladolid tour with guide Joshua and driver Omar. We opted for a private tour to accommodate the different needs of our group. There was an additional fee since we were departing from Cancún rather than Playa del Carmen, where the company is based—but it was well worth it to go with Absolute Adventure Mexico. Joshua and Omar were well prepared and excellent with our group—engaging, informative, and respectful of our pace and freedom to explore. Be sure to grab a drink from the cooler in the van before entering the Chichén Itzá site. The stops were well timed and flexible, and the driving felt very safe. At Paladar del Cura, I recommend the Cochinita Pibil (Yucatán-style barbecued pork with tacos on the side)—a delicious local specialty. We waited to order dessert until we reached Valladolid so the kids could enjoy ice cream at La Michoacana. We had a choice of two cenotes and chose Oxmán for its rope swing and jumping platforms—this was a hit with our group! Bring a waterproof phone pouch for great photos inside the cenote. Our older traveler chose not to descend the 73 steps to the water and was warmly welcomed to wait with Joshua, where he continued learning about the area's history and enjoyed photographing the cenote from above. Sunscreen isn’t allowed in the cenote to help protect it, but it’s shady inside, so you won’t need it. Everyone wears life jackets in the water. Thank you, Joshua, Omar, and Absolute Adventure Mexico, for the unforgettable memories and a great tour!

Hands down the best way to see and experience Chichen Itza. Our tour guide Arturo and our driver Rodrigo picked our group of 11 up very early. They gave us options for bathrooms and rest stops with snacks along the way. Upon arrival to Chichen Itza Arturo gave us our tickets and we were able to leave all our things in the bus as the driver stayed with our belongings the whole time. This was very helpful as it was a hot day and carrying extra things would have been a lot. Arturo was an amazing tour guide he is trained not only in archaeology but has a past of his own of being an architect so his insight he gives to the ancient ruins is unmatched. He kept us on time and in the shade as much as possible. A couple people on our group had some overheating issues and he was very accommodating. After our tour around the ruins we went to the Oxman cenote. It was absolutely stunning. There is a rope swing and a jumping platform. Arturo was kind enough to take group pictures from the top to keep our phones from getting wet. Our group was very hungry after Chichen Itza and the tour provided snacks and drinks. Arturo with his experience knew the restaurant sometimes takes awhile for large group orders so we picked our lunch before the cenote and he called it in ahead of time. By the time we arrived at the restaurant we maybe waited 10 minutes to be eating as a group. We had authentic mayan cuisine that was delicious and also part of the tour price. Outside of tipping and drinks at the restaurant the total tour price included our entrances to Chichen Itza and the cenote, lunch, transport, and all the knowledge and guidance from the tour guide. Would 10/10 recommend this company for the Chichen Itza and cenote trip. I cannot speak to the other tours, but if the communication and the service is the same I can assure you will have the BEST time and it was worth every penny!

The hubs and I used Absolute Adventure Mexico for a private tour to Chichen Itza, Cenote Samula, and for a vegetarian lunch in Valledolid. Our private tour guide, Josh, was polite, friendly, and very educated on the places we visited. Our driver, Kike, was also polite, and did well to ensure we didn’t feel car sick. All in all, excellent service! We would definitely recommend and use the company again! 😊👍🏼

Cristina and Rodri were our fearless leaders during our private Coba and cenotes tour. Through highways, ancient ruins, jungle bike rides, and 12 meter jumps into water, we felt absolutely taken care of and had the best time. Cristina is a wealth of knowledge and switched seamlessly between English and Spanish to accommodate our bilingual group. Small touches like cold soft drinks in the van and sharing lunch together at a roadside restaurant infused the experience with a welcoming warmth. This excursion was the perfect mix of history and adventure, and I would absolutely return again!

What an amazing tour! Our private van was comfy and the AC was running! (So grateful). We arrived early and it felt like we were alone to start. Our tour guide was amazing, he had so much history and knowledge and could answer any question in our heads. We learned so much and it really brought the ruins to life. I highly recommend this company and will use again.

Excellent experience touring the Tulum archaeological site with Cristina as our guide! My group of friends booked a private tour and were picked up on time from our hotel by Cristina and Omar, who drove us to the site in a comfortable minibus stoked with cold water. Cristina is a very personable and informative guide who gave us lots of insight into Maya cosmology, architecture, culture and postclassic history (as a Maya archaeologist I can vouch!) she even had an iPad to show visual aids at our stopping points! We paused for photos and she was very patient when we got distracted by the iguanas 😉 Wonderful, efficient and fun tour of the ruins, highly recommended!!!

Had a perfect day from start to finish! I would give double stars if I could! We picked two spots in Akumul swam with the turtles they gave us the option to switch because of the Sargassum/Seaweed, it didn’t bother us though so we went and had a wonderful time. We saw 4 turtles, one huge turtle a baby and 2 normal sized turtles. Then we went probably one of the prettiest unique places I’ve ever seen, at the Yalku lagoon, our guide joined us there and he was so kind and informative. We then went to lunch in Akumal and had some delicious taco’s, and nacho chips. I definitely recommend, booking with Absolute Adventures Mexico one of the best excursions I’ve ever been on.
