Juan, our tour guide and Omar, our driver, were absolutely amazing! They provided a private tour of Chichen Itza, the Cenote and Valladolid. We enjoyed a delicious traditional Mexican lunch at Atrio. Juan was very knowledgeable and will definitely request them on any future travels to Cancun. We highly recommend them.

We really enjoyed our day with guide Arturo and driver Irving. Van was clean, in good repair and stocked with drinks and snacks. Irving was a very safe driver. He didn’t talk a lot with us, but we were impressed that he speaks Italian and Mayan and is learning English. Arturo was friendly, organized, attentive, and knew his stuff. Unlike the park guides who gave their memorized speech, then asked for questions (also interesting) Arturo would tell you things you did not think to ask. Highly recommend this way to tour the archaeological sites, you will get way more out of it.

Fantastic, We did a turtles and cenote tour and at all 3 sites there were barely any other tourists as they select to visit at times when there aren't huge rushes of tourists. The outdoor waterhole cenote a particular highlight, serene.

Our guide Juan took us for a leisurely drive down the coast to swim with the turtles and visit two cenotes - An underground cave cenote and an outside waterhole type cenote. We had such a great time, the outdoor cenote a particular highlight as it was literally just us and a few locals swimming. This tour takes you to cenotes that are less well known but still beautiful, and therefore we're barely saw another tourist which was fantastic! Juan was full of knowledge about the area and it was great to chat and find out more about Mexico and the sites. Definitely recommend hiring the waterproof camera if you don't have one of your own for this tour as everything is in water and we got some great shots of the turtles. Thanks heaps!

Me and 3 of my friends had a private tour to Chichen Itza with Arturo as our tour guide and Ervin as our driver on October 8, 2017. It was awesome! First off, I thought that the drive to Chichen Itza would be too far but it was totally worth the drive and our tour guides made it worth it. First off, you are picked up very early from your resort, stop off to get a quick pastry/coffee and then you're on your way. All of us napped in the van on our way to Chichen Itza which helped because it is a pretty long day that you are gearing up for. Ervin was a great and safe driver throughout the entire trip! Arturo had a lot of knowledge to share and also took pictures of our group to share at the end of our tour for free. Chichen Itza is amazing - you can really see what incredible astronomers and mathematicians the Mayans were. There are also a lot of vendors there - Arturo even helped us bargain and we came home with some great souveniers.

We used Absolute Adventure Mexico for two private trips while staying at the Royal Hotel in Playa del Carmen. The first was an all-day trip for two to Chichen Itza. This was arranged at the last minute the previous evening via email, thanks to Claire, the company’s very responsive owner.

My son (age 24) and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Tulum, snorkeling the reef off Paraiso Beach and our visit to an underground cenote where we were the only visitors in it. Arturo, our guide, is extremely engaging and knowledgeable and makes every effort to assure that your trip is an enjoyable one. Absolute Adventures utilizes lovely vans for transport, cooler with drinks, wetsuits, updated snorkels, masks, and life vests. If we had more time, I would have booked some additional trips with them. Lastly, Claire was wonderful in responding so quickly to my emails. Snorkeling in an underground cenote is a great way to spend an rainy afternoon!

Our day started early, but it was well worth the 5:30 am pick up time. Our drive Ervin was great and out guide Arturo was amazing!! We saw several birds including some beautiful flamingos. The highlight of the trip for me was the pink lagoon, it was AMAZING!! We had a great lunch on the way back to our resort where Arturo made the best recommendation for food. It was a great day and I would highly recommend Absolute Adventure for a personally and knowledgeable tour.

My partner and I did three tours with absolute adventures, Tulum and Cobá, Rio Lagartos and Chichen Itza and Valladolid. Claire was speedy to reply to my emails with info and made the booking process easy. We were picked up bright and early by Arturo our guide who we had all three tours with and Irvin the driver. Our van was spacious, clean and we had a cooler full of unlimited drinks and even were offered a snack. All meals and drinks on our tour were provided and Arturo told us to pick anything from the menu except cocktails (extra charge) but we don’t drink so not a problem. Irvin was a friendly driver and very polite, Arturo was a super knowledgeable guide and went out of his way to show us everything - climbing Cobá was quite slow but he was patient letting us rest and encouraging us also. He knew all of the answers to the questions we had and I actually feel it would be better to cut out the archeological guides at the sites and just use your guide to give info as they seem to know the info. We could go where we wanted and were allowed extra time at certain areas and Irvin and Arturo both would wait patiently. On the way back Arturo made the effort to engage in conversation and not only is he a great guide but a really interesting guy. Our favorite tour was definitely Rio Lagartos and Las Coloradas and we’re so glad you offer it as not many places do! The salt lakes were beautiful! We have never been on private tours before but we feel it was 100% worth the extra price tag and excellent value for money. I would always recommend you in future and if I came back I wouldn’t hesitate to contact your company!

Our private tour with Absolute Adventures and our tour guides Juan-José and Ervin to Chichen Itza, incredible lunch in town, and swimming in 2 Cenotes was one of the best tours I have ever taken and my wife and I have been coming here for 30 years! Juan was very informative and took some amazing photos for us. Jaun and Ervin went out of their way to make our tour truly spectacular and never once rushed us or told us we had to leave. Juan even carried our bags for us through out the different parks so we were free to take pictures of our own. You can leave everything in the van which was very clean and comfortable when you tour and Ervin stays with the van. Not only did they have all of the equipment we needed for the tour they also had cold beer, soda, and water for us in the van for the ride.

We recently returned from Tulum, and our tours with Absolute Adventure were definitely the highlight of our trip. We did two across two days: (1) Rio Lagartos private boat tour + Las Coloradas + Ek Balam with Juan Jose and Arturo, and (2) Tulum Ruins + snorkeling in a cenote (Tak Be Ha) with Juan Jose. Our guides Juanjo and Arturo were fantastic -- very personable, knowledgeable and attentive -- and made us feel really comfortable... to the point that by the end of the first day, we felt like we were just hanging out with friends and looked forward to seeing them again! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience touring Tulum, and I can't imagine going back without booking another tour through this company.

We booked a tour to go zip lining as well as the Cenote half day trip. Arturo was our guide and we couldn't of asked for a better experience! Our group was made up of younger children along with teenagers and adults. Arturo was personal with all age groups and made the trip fun for everyone. He was patient with the younger children as well as interactive and adventurous with the young adults. Absolute Adventure Mexico was great to communicate with and answered all the questions we had. My only regret was that we didn't use them for all of our outings!

This was a fantastic tour, a bit pricey but was worth the investment for the private tour with three young children (8,6,3). Our tour guide Juan, was very professional, kind, and courteous. Claire I believe is one of the owners provided quick responses to all questions, and even provided a refund for our 3 year old who ended up not able to participate in the days activities. I highly recommend using Absolute Adventures to tour the paradise of Mexico!

My husband and I spent an interesting morning with Claire visiting two cenotes and stopping for lunch at an authentic Mayan restaurant. The cenotes were beautiful with one reminding me of an open lagoon filled with water lilies and small fish and the other an underwater cavern with tiny bats flying above. Lunch was delicious and I have never tasted such creamy, tasty guacamole dip and crispy chips. Claire was a delightful guide amusing us with old Mayan legends as well as other Mexican folklore.

My wife and I visited two Cenotes with Claire of Absolute Adventure. We had a great time and learned a great deal about Mexico and the Mayans. The Cenotes were beautiful and the background Claire provided made the day that much better. Her knowledge of the area help take us to a Cenote with only two other people swimming! We ate lunch at a restaurant owned and operated by Mayans and really enjoyed it. Claire's expert guidance throughout the day made for a wonderful adventure.

Worth going earlier than the dozens of boats out there. Nice attentive crew and lots of beautiful whale sharks. Got to swim 3-4 times with them. Definitely worth it!

If I could give these guys more stars, I would. Yes, their excursions are pricier than others but worth every penny. They make the time spent with them intimate & personalized. Juan, our tour guide, was very engaging & funny. My friend & I being 2 females in a foreign country, he made us feel very comfortable & safe. We chose the Tulum/reef snorkeling/cenote tour. Tulum is a spectacular sight to see but Juan's knowledge of the ruins made the experience complete. Not to mention, he was able to navigate us in & out of the crowds which was a bonus. Everything was well organized & planned out. You didn't have worry about anything. The cenote was completely unreal. I highly recommend Absolute Adventure. We are already planning using these guys when we bring our families back to Playa del Carmen next year. One piece of advice is if you chose to go to Tulum, put on mosquito repellent. If not, they'll swarm you like a school of piranhas.

We had initially 12 people going with many children, we then added 2 more in the middle that was no problem. They had to drive to 2 different locations to pick all of us up and there was no problem. We were in constant conversation with the home base while driving to the tour location. We first did ATV riding, then did Zip lining, then swimming in a cenote. All was very good. The only thing we would lower the score here was the platforms for the zip lines. Very weak looking and they are built on trees and the trees would sway and you would sway as well. So a bit discomforting. Not at all life threatening, but discomforting. All three tours combined into one tour was great and we all had a great time. The swimming we thought would be just a way to cool off, but there is a zip line to drop into the water and a platform to jump very far into the water. The kids had a great time!

As a family of four, we had a very good day well planned by Claire at Absolute Adventures. We did the tour of the Mayan archeological site of Ek Balam, then visited the city of Valladolid - the convent and the cathedral, along with strolling in the city and lunch at the excellent Atrio. If you want more personal attention - Absolute Adventure is the way to go. You will have a private driver + guide for the whole day. This is well worth it if you want your time well spent ( i.e. not spending time in large buses waiting and picking up folks at various hotels). Juan was excellent, always courteous and also very funny. He led us the whole day, talked about life in QR and the Yucatan and had answers to almost all of our questions. When he didn't know, he would search on his phone until he found the answers. We had a few question re: historical references and he readily looked over his phone to find an answer. He and the driver were also very flexible re: time. We have been in the Yucata for 6 times and this definitely was the best tour of all. This was and excellent day !!!
