Absolute Adventure Mexico
A Curated Experience Our guide Juan was knowledgeable, entertaining, and very accommodating for our large family. I could not recommend this tour enough.
Voir plusWe took the private Chichén Itzá + Cenote tour with Absolute Adventure and had a fantastic experience! There were 5 adults and 3 kids (ages 5, 9, and 12) in our group. The private tour was intimate and flexible—we ended up cutting our stay at Chichén Itzá a bit short so we could spend more time at the cenote (Samula) for the kids, which they loved. Our guide Alejandro (Alex) was incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and friendly. And he gave us just the right amount of detail and perspective, which for us we wanted a lot of. Everything went so smoothly, and we can't think of anything that could have gone better. With a group our size, it was absolutely worth the extra cost to make it a private trip.

The highlight of Mexico was the private tour with Arturo, visiting the Tulum Ruins as well as Coba and finishing the day with lunch. Arturo was extremely knowledgeable and fully enjoys what he does making the day a wonderful experience. I highly recommended booking through Absolute Adventure if you are looking for an unforgettable tour!

Voir plusMy wife and I decided after research, to book a private tour with this company . Christina and Enrique were so professional and made us feel welcome and comfortable, She is very knowledgeable and a great tour guide! Definitely recommend 100%
Voir plusAwesome private tour! Trip was amazing. Picked us up from our hotel and went straight to Chichen-Itza. Stopped for lunch after, and was the best meal of the trip. Arturo was great. Highly recommend.
Voir plusReasonably priced private tour of Tulum. The guide was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where the best photo opportunities were.
Voir plustulum ruins and 2 cenotes My family (2 kids- ages 14, 17) had an amazing tour with Juan. He picked us up at our hotel on time and we were the first ones into the ruins at Tulum. He told us all about the ruins and the Mayan culture. It was wonderful to do that early in the morning before it was too hot. He then took us to a cenote that we had all to ourselves. We were able to snorkel at our own pace and enjoy the cenote. We then went to the underground cenote which was equally amazing. I'm so glad that we chose 2 cenotes and got the experience of both the above ground and undergound one. Juan took great pictures of our family and I would highly recommend this tour.
Voir plusSuch a wonderful adventure! Juan was an incredible guide & we loved snorkeling in the cenotes. One of the best things we’ve ever done! Don’t miss it.
Voir plusFabulous day visiting Chichen Itza with Absolute Adventure tours! Our family recently returned from Mexico having visited Chichen Itza and swimming in a cenote through a tour with Absolute Adventure. Considering it was going to be an all day trip, we splurged on a private tour to cut down on travel time. I booked directly through their website for considerable savings compared to resellers of similar tours. Our guide Cristina was full of knowledge and passion about the history of Chichen Itza. We got there right when the site opened shortly after 8am; be prepared to spend up to 4 hrs if you want the full experience. There are numerous vendors on site who are super talented artists from the nearby town. You can get a kitschy alien themed Chitzen Iza T-shirt but also beautiful one of a kind wooden masks, sculptures, obsidian carvings and a 'jaguar' (you will know when you hear it). Many vendors take credit, but recommend bringing extra pesos. Our driver Enrique was always ready for the next trek waiting with refreshments. The second stop was a swim in the Samula Cenote which is in an enclosed cave with a small opening. Yes there are bats in the cave, not scary, but they poop. Our third stop was in Valladolid for an authentic Mexican lunch at a restaurant frequented by locals. The ala carte meal was delicious. Recommend having breakfast at your resort/rental, there are snacks provided but lunch is later in the day. Valladolid town square was a quick walk through the park as the church was closed and we already had our souvenirs. Set out at 6:15am and back at 6:00pm at our resort.....long day but so very worth it! Thank-you Cristina and Enrique!
Voir plusThis tour was exceptional! Christina and Oscar were patient, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. My group and I had the best time and couldn't have asked for a more perfect trip! I would highly recommend this company and this tour to chichen itza!
Voir plusJosh, who was our guide for Absolute Adventure Private Tours, did a great job with our small family of four. We prefer Adventure Tours in this definitely was an adventure although by no means exhausting or stressful. We went to three cenotes during the course of the day and had a nice lunch at the very end at a small family owned restaurant. I was surprised to see that the cenotes were not overcrowded at this time of the year. In fact when we arrived at the first one at about 8:00 a.m. we were the first ones there and enjoyed the Cenote to ourselves. Although some might consider the waters to be cold, our family found it to be just fine likely because we've spent many summers splashing around in the lakes at the Upper Midwest. One of the more interesting and unusual elements was going to see the "Batcave", where we could see small bats flitting around above us in the cave above clear blue water. We could also see the scuba diving teams swimming below us with their flashlights which made for a great picture underwater.
Voir plusExcellent experience and Arturo was an exceptional guide!!!
Voir plusExcellent experience for our group of 19. We were all picked up at our hotel by two sprinter vans that were comfortable. And we got to see and swim in three separate cenotes in a good sequence without driving too far between any single one of them. We had children ranging in ages of 5 to 12, and they all enjoyed the trip. The older they are, the more they will get out of the experience, though. Arturo was our guide, and he was excellent and cared for all of our group members.

Voir plusWe love our tour from start to finish.
Voir plusA visit to Tulum should include this excursion Such a fun day! Juan, our guide was amazing. He had meaningful knowledge about the ruins, the region, and Mayan history and culture that made having a tour good a huge plus. The ruins are interesting but the info shared by Juan made the experience more relevant and meaningful. After the ruins, we went to the cenote where Juan was able to show us lesser known parts of the cenote and answered every question we had about these unusual swimming holes. The cenote was more crowded than usual but it didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying the crisp spring waters, water lilies, and caves. Finally, Juan joined our family for lunch where we continued our lively conversation. The restaurant was adorable though they pricing at the gift shop was questionable . Definitely take note and negotiate. It was a joy to share part of our family trip with him and we're appreciative of the unique experience and extensive info he shared with us. Despite being a Bengals fan, Juan absolutely made what was already a cool half day excursion that much better. __

Voir plusCristina and Yosh are the best! We had an awesome tour through Tulum, swam in the cenotes, and saw so many sea turtles at Akumin! Alex, our turtle tour guide was patient and spotted 7 or 8 sea turtles. Loved every minute of it. Lunch was also wonderful. Love the people we met along the way. Cristina shared so much knowledge. There were plenty of drinks, local and water. If you are having trouble deciding- stop thinking and book with Absolute Adventures!
Voir plusCenote tour with a side of turtles __ We had an amazing day with our wonderful guide, Arturo, visiting Akumal to swim with sea turtles and snorkeling among beautiful sea life. A beautiful place. We also visited a cenote and had an awesome time. Arturo was a very skilled guide, kind to our family and extremely accommodating. We felt it was a privilege to view these natural sites and experience them in this way. Something we could only do here in Mexico!

Voir plusWe recently enjoyed the Dos Ojos Cenote, Tulum Ruins, and Akumal Turtles tour, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The pick-up from our resort was prompt, and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights at the Tulum Ruins and cenote. The lunch spot they chose was a highlight, offering delicious food in a fun and inviting atmosphere. One aspect we especially appreciated was that the guide never rushed us—he let us set the pace, giving us ample time at the places we wanted to linger (within the set hour for Akumal Turtles). While the Akumal Turtles segment was slightly underwhelming due to weather conditions stirring up sand and reducing visibility, the local guide made a great effort to ensure we still had an enjoyable experience. Thanks to his expertise, we managed to spot a few turtles, a stingray, and even a rare white turtle that we’d never have noticed on our own. It’s worth mentioning that these visibility issues were entirely weather-related and not within the control of Absolute Adventures. According to the guide, calm, crystal-clear waters are the norm, and this situation was not typical. Despite this minor setback, we had a wonderful time. We learned so much, felt safe, and wouldn’t hesitate to book another tour with this company in the future. A few tips for future travelers: Sunscreen: Be sure to apply sunscreen once arriving at the Tulum Ruins, even though it’s hours before the cenote and turtles. We didn’t and got sunburned after just an hour under the sun with the turtles. Wetsuits: For the cenote, you have the option of using a wetsuit to stay warm, which is a great idea if you're prone to feeling chilly. However, I found the size guide on the website a bit misleading. I’m typically a small in shirts but ended up needing a large wetsuit, and my husband, who’s usually a medium, could’ve used an extra-large. It would be helpful if the sizing guide offered more detail for better preparation. Akumal Turtles: Our tour guide shared that turtle mating season spans from May to August, and during this time, it's possible to encounter turtles measuring 5 to 6 feet in length. While the turtles we observed were closer to 3 feet, the thought of seeing one double their size—or as tall as I am—is absolutely amazing. Just a little heads-up for anyone visiting during the mating season! All in all, this tour exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to others.
Voir plusWe had a wonderful tour to Chichen Itza and the cenote. Josh and Enrique were an excellent team! Josh was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions.
Voir plusIncredible Day! What a fantastic tour! The guide, Alex, was passionate about what he was sharing with us. Getting to Chichen Itza before the crowds and the heat was great. Alex educated us on the Mayan culture so that we really appreciated what we were seeing. Cenote Samula was beautiful and uncrowded, cool yet not cold. The lunch at Valladolid was very good, offering a nice variety for our group of eight.
Voir plusLong Day But Pyramids Well Worth It Our tour guide, Christina, was excellent. Very knowledgeable, energetic, and lots of fun. Very open to varying the pace for our family, which ranged from 11 to 75. She was particularly solicitous of my wife who was using a walker. Lunch after the tour at a local Yucat?n restaurant was a perfect way to catch up at the end of the day. Highly recommend these guys.
Voir plusCristina and Antonio were lovely hosts for our day at Tulum and exploring a cenote of our choice!
Voir plusChichen Itza Private Tour with Alex We immensely enjoyed our full day private tour to Chichen Itza with guide, Alex. Alex was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. Alex had so much information to share on the ride out to the ancient city, that we felt so informed and ready to explore. I was amazed and impressed by the level of preparation and professionalism that Alex showed on the tour. Highly recommended!
Voir plusBest nature adventure ever The cenotes are one of the most incredible things I?ve seen on earth. Could not recommend more. Such a magnificent display of nature. Intimate tour with no crowds. And our tour guide Juan made was so wonderful, capturing our memories, sharing the history of land, and engaging in wonderful, thoughtful conversation about nature & life. Book now, you won?t regret.
Voir plusJuan was our guide for the Tulum Ruins and Cenote adventure. Hands down best guide we have ever had. Very hesitant about Cenote as I’m not a swimmer but Juan picked an amazing Cenote and we had a great time. Thank you Juan for the laughter, education and memories. Kimber & Adrienne
Voir plusThree private tours - each one awesome! My husband and I went on 3 tours with Absolute Adventure Mexico during our one week stay in Mexico - this is not something that we usually do, but the reviews were great and we were looking for simplicity. Communication with Claire was amazing, she answered all of our questions and the booking went flawlessly. We saw Chichen Itza, Coba ruins and Punta Laguna Monkey Reserve, Tulum ruins and one cenote. Each trip included a lunch at a local restaurant - each one fabulous. Our guides Joshua and Juan and drivers Enrique and Omar were wonderful. A very heartfelt thank you to Joshua who turned the Cenote outing into a wonderful experience, your kindness and support was greatly appreciated for that outing! We had a great time with each trip and arrived early at all ruins (by the time we left, it was busy!). Highly recommend booking with Absolute Adventure Mexico - whenever we return, we will book again!
Voir plus10/10 book it!!! We took a private snorkeling tour with Josh, it was a lifetime expierence! It was absolutely beautiful. He helped guide us through the two cenotes we picked the jungle one and the cave onen absolutely wonderful experience. And we finished with an amazing local authentic Lunch! 10/10 highly recommend!!
Voir plusCris and Ro were the best! I’d highly recommend these tours to anyone visiting the area!
Voir plusBest tour experience by far! We did the private tour with Arturo and Omar as our driver and it was easily our best day in Mexico! Arturo was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us to private quieter spots, great photo ops, and shaded areas. He let us go at our own pace, as well as took many photos of us at the temple and at the cenote! Lunch was provided at a delicious authentic Mexican/mayan restaurant as well as snacks and drinks along the way. Couldn?t have asked for a better tour!
Voir plusCristina is a fabulous tour guide and made accommodations for all of the abilities in our group. She engages kids and teens by asking questions and creating space for curiosity. Lunch was fabulous!! Rodrigo is a hospital and safe driver. Highly recommend!
Voir plusThis was such an adventurous experience thanks to Christina and Rodrigo! The Pyramids were a sight for soar eyes and you get to learn and see the greatest things! And the party doesn’t end there because you get to eat an amazing meal at the end! I would definitely recommend!
Voir plusCristina and Rodrigo were wonderful. We really enjoyed our day with them and they made everything easy.
Voir plusI highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Jose was fantastic - he has a wide breadth of knowledge and was able to answer all of our questions. He was also personable and funny which made for a relaxing and enjoyable tour.
Voir plusBUCKET LIST CENOTES ADVENTURE! Our guide Joshua and our driver Alex gave us an experience that was unforgettable. This private tour is highly recommended! Both cenotes were spectacular (Taak Bi Ha and Pet Cemetery) and by being there first thing in the morning, we had the whole cenote to ourselves which we loved. Joshua was extremely informative; presenting at key moments but also allowing us to enjoy the silence and serenity the cenotes had to offer. They were well very organized and had all we needed (snorkel, waterproof flashlights, life jackets, drinking water). Skip the big tours and book with Absolute Adventures!
