Absolute Adventure Mexico
Brought to life the history of the Mayan civilisation. We wanted a chance to enjoy the magic of Chichen Itza without the crowds and be able to learn about its history and the Mayan culture in a more personal way and be able to ask questions as we explored. Chris ensured this happened. He was very knowledgable and friendly and brought the history to life in his explanations. It was wonderful to be looked after so well. Carlos our driver gave us a comfortable ride and made us feel safe and secure. Many thanks.

Best day ever! This excursion was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our trip, providing my sisters and me with a fantastic private experience. The tour operators exhibited excellent organization, offering all the necessary information well in advance so we were well-prepared before departure. At 7:30 am sharp, they picked us up at our hotel in a private van, and a 35-minute ride took us to our first destination. Our tour guide, Joshua, equipped us with life vests and snorkel masks, and we soon found ourselves in the ocean, swimming out to observe sea turtles. We had the pleasure of spotting four sea turtles, along with starfish, barracuda, and a stingray. While it was amazing to see the sea turtles, it's important to note that this part of the tour requires strong swimming skills. For our next stop, we had the option to choose from one of four cenotes. Following Joshua's recommendation, we visited Cenote Nicte-Ha, which was truly breathtaking. Joshua's expertise proved invaluable as the cenote was a marvel to behold. The cold yet refreshing water, combined with the stunning surroundings, left us in awe. Joshua even kindly took photos of my sisters and me, capturing the moment perfectly. We could have easily spent the entire day at the cenote; it was that remarkable. After our cenote adventure, we indulged in a delicious Mexican lunch, with a selection of six different entrees and soft drinks. This day was nothing short of perfection, and by 12:30 pm, we were back at our Tulum hotel. This tour was exceptional, and I can't wait to experience it again when I return to Tulum.

A Must Do! (and Ask for Alex!) We researched many tours and decided on this one - couldn't be happier with our decision! It was a perfect day for us and our two kids (11 and 8) - mix of learning about the Mayan history (at the Tulum ruins) and adventure (cenotes and snorkeling) - all with a delicious and relaxing lunch in the middle! Alex was a fantastic tour guide - prompt, kind, incredibly informative, helpful - all around wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Would highly recommend this experience! We had the BEST time thanks to our guides Alex G and Omar. Can?t even pick a favorite part between swimming in amazingly refreshing/clean cenote, seeing sea turtles in the wild (even a baby!!), and lunch at a local spot which was sooo authentic and delicious. We were impressed by Alex?s knowledge of the ruins - we left early, but it was so worth it because we basically had the place to ourselves! Definitely book with Absolute Adventure and request Alex G and Omar!

An amazing experience that we will never forget!!! Absolutely amazing experience. Can?t recommend them enough. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was private which made the experience even better. The lunch was one of the best meals we had on our entire trip to Tulum. Highly recommend to everyone to book with this company. Just when you think you have seen the most beautiful locations they surprise you with more. It?s an experience my partner and I will never forget.

This was such an amazing adventure for our crew. We had a range of ages with our group from 2y/o all the way up to 70 and everyone was able to participate in some capacity. Our drivers, Rodrigo, Omar, and Gregorio, were kind, efficient, and safe. They kept our three vans together and made sure we all arrived together. Our tour guides, Alex and Arturo, went above and beyond. The history Alex shared with his van was so enriching and in depth, it truly gave all of us a deeper understanding and appreciation for the culture. They joked with us, shared stories of their lives, and continually made sure we were taken care of. They were truly a blast and made the excursion even more amazing than it would have been without them. The ruins were incredible, such an amazing piece of history! The cenotes were a nice cooling touch where we all got to cool down, have fun zip lining, and just have fun. The restaurant was a festive, delicious meal. Snorkeling was amazing as we got to see the coral reef, many turtles, a lot of colorful fish, a few starfish, and a sting ray! We loved the day and would recommend it to any of our friends and family! We highly recommend requesting Alex and Arturo as your tour guide!

Glad we booked you Great day out learning about Mayan culture. Artura our guide and Carlos our driver were fabulous. Artura?s tour of Chichen Itza was informative and combined stories, questions and many interesting pieces of information including some basic Mayan words which were met with joy from the many stall sellers. The whole day was seamless with entry to all sites smooth and pleasant. The connote was spectacular and we had the whole experience to ourselves with one other couple? Amazing. You get what you pay for, a personalised experience with fabulous and talented staff. We are so glad we chose to visit with you.. thank you

Stunning turtles and bright blue cenote Juan was the perfect tour guide - so knowledgeable about Mexican history and also really helpful answering extra questions we had about our trip. We loved getting to know him. The experience might seem expensive, but you get a lot for your money - barely anyone at the beautiful cenote, and would recommend the early turtle swim as that was also uncrowded and very special. You can see turtles, sting rays and starfish close up as well as coral. Lunch was also delicious in a great local spot. If you want to get a lot out of your morning, would highly recommend this tour. My family did 2 tours with Absolute Adventures, both with Alex as our tour guide. We went to Tulum as a private tour with 4 adults and 3 children and then to Chichen Itza as 2 adults and 2 children. The organisation was excellent starting with punctuality, clear outline of the day and signposting of important stops (like toilet breaks). Clear thought went into creating the right tour that matched the abilities and endurance of the children, with flexibility to extend or contract plans based on how we were all coping with the heat. Alex chose a smaller more intimate Cenote that was perfect for the family and a magical experience. Alex is knowledgeable, really keen to share his passion about Mayan and Mexican history and culture, both ancient and modern, and very easy to talk to. We shared 2 lunches and he was excellent with the kids who loved his company. Anyone seeking a tour would be wise to choose Alex and his tour.

My favorite experience in Tulum! We had so much fun on this tour! My husband and I love learning about ancient history and our tour guide Alex was so knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We saw Monkeys in the trees during our bike ride around the ruins and had a private tour of 2 cenotes. 10/10 would recommend.

Great time seeing Tulum! Great experience! With our tour, we were able to learn a lot about Tulum while we toured it. Our guide, Arturo, was amazing -- very friendly, and very knowledgeable! We also felt very safe, as there was a dedicated driver who stayed with the vehicle and our belongings. We snorkeled in a Cenote, and our kids loved jumping in from the cliff. Our tour ended with a great meal near the Cenote... couldn't be happier!

Magical swimming experience We went for a tour in a Cenote with Arturo, our guide, who was a very charming and friendly person. The Pet Cemetery Cenote was just a magical experience, swimming in a maze like cave system, leading to spectacular ?rooms? with draperies, stalactites and stalagmites. Arturo brought us to some surreal locations with no daylight at all. The organization was impeccable.

The entire experience was amazing. From the booking process, to the email follow up by Claire (one of the owners), to the half day spent visiting the Tulum ruins, cenote and lunch in a typical local restaurant (with the added benefit of the adorable puppy Tula). Juan is an excellent and very personable guide. He is knowledgeable and funny, and made our experience even better. I would highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico and Juan if you are traveling to the Cancun area. Muchas gracias!

This was our second time using Absolute Adventure Mexico. We were so impressed the first time we toured with them in Tulum, we wanted to book with them for our tour to Chichen Itza. We are so happy we did! We arrived first thing in the morning, before any of the other tours, so we had Chichen Itza all to ourselves with the exception of a local dog! Our guide Arturo was great! Very knowledgeable and told us about the historical and cultural aspects of the sacred grounds, all while keeping us as hydrated and shaded as possible. Once our tour conclude, we passed thousands of other folks pouring in from the larger tours as we were exiting. Our driver Carlos stayed with the van and our belongings the entirety of our trip, while was awesome and helps ease any concerns you may have about storing your belongings. We then made our way to X'keken cenote which was underground in what would typically be considered a cave, but was actually a cenote due to the small opening at the center of the cavern. It was a bit dark and mysterious, but still a delightful swim. After we change into dry clothes, we stopped at Valladolid where we learned about the cultural significance of the city and enjoyed a delicious authentic lunch with a view of the majestic church. We walked around the city and then had free time to explore the shopping square. Once we were ready, we headed back to our hotel. It was an amazing adventure and I highly recommend Absolute Adventure Mexico if you're considering a tour. You will not be disappointed that you chose a private tour where you beat all the crowds!

Memorable Experience! We took two private tours to Tulum and Coba and Swimming with Turtles at Akumel and underground Cenote. We had Juan as our guide who was excellent. He picked us early but this was to avoid the crowds and definitely worth it. The driver (sorry can't remember his name was brilliant) The van was clean and we had water and sodas provided on both trips. Juan was very knowledgeable and very attentive. He took photos of us as a family and took care of us from start to finish. Would thoroughly recommend this company and private tour is the best way to travel!!! Thank you

Do yourself a favor and book this excursion! In one word, perfect. Juan and Carlos were kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Nichte- Ha was breathtaking. Juan guided us through the Tulum ruins masterfully. He explained the history of the Maya along the way, noting the various features of the ruins. Lunch was delicious, I highly recommend their suggested plate. Snorkeling in Akumal lived up to the hype, we saw several turtles and our guide was so helpful pointing them out. Best excursion we did all week, well worth paying for the travel add on from Cancun.

Our tour guides were Alex and Omar. They created a magical day for us! Alex shared so much history and knowledge with us at Tulum. Then at the Cenote he was so patient with me, a non-swimmer, and helped me into the water and made me comfortable enough to trust the life vest. The experience was one of the best in my life! Lunch was delicious and a fun break before the sea turtles. Another awesome experience because our guides in the ocean were just an encouraging and made the experience another that I will never forget! A tour that you must take when visiting the area!

These guys are excellent and patient and understanding. They do things per your request. They are knowledgeable especially Juan Jose and Carlos the driver is an excellent driver we felt safe and he helps you get in and get out of the van. They were an excellent team. I have to use a cane and they helped me and were generally very concerned about my wellbeing the whole time. I can’t say enough good things about these two guys. Excellent says enough. I asked for a certain drink for my trip and it was ready in the van. So nice to have expert service.

This tour comes highly recommended. We loved every minute of our adventures. Juan was a fantastic guide that took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our time in Tulum. He was knowledgeable, chill, and funny. If you're thinking about a private/guided tour this was worth the money. Get up early and beat the crowds!

We went to Cenote Pet Cemetery and Cenote Nicte-Ha. Both are amazing. Our guide Juan was great, making the adventure extremely fun and safe. Make sure to bring a waterproof camera or case for phone.

The Best Day Ever Highly recommend 10/10. Alex and Carlos were the perfect team and it truly was the best tour we have ever taken. From touring the fascinating Tulum ruins, to visiting the amazing Taak Bi Ha cenote to swimming with turtles in the beautiful Akumal Bay, the day could not have been more perfect.
